Gail Gauvreau

Dr. Gail Gauvreau, PhD, is a Professor of Respirology at McMaster University and Co-Director of AllerGen’s Clinical Investigator Collaborative, a multi-centred, Canadian-based, Phase II clinical trials group that fast-tracks potential drug candidates for the treatment of asthma.

Dr. Gauvreau completed her BSc/MSc at the University of Guelph, her PhD at McMaster University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Her research interests include the mechanisms of allergic inflammation, novel therapeutic targets for asthma and COPD, airway inflammation in asthma and COPD, and cysteinyl leukotrienes (cysLT) and cysLT receptors.
