Dr. Anna Goldenberg, PhD, is a senior scientist of Genetics & Genome Biology in the Research Institute of The Hospital for Sick Children and an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. She holds a Canada Research Chair in Computational Medicine. She is an expert in machine learning approaches to biological data and network methods, and in the integration of Omics and clinical data. Her lab is currently developing methods to capture heterogeneity and identify disease mechanisms in complex human diseases. Her translational focus is on methods that efficiently combine many types of patient measurements to refine diagnosis, improve prognosis and personalize drug response prediction for patients.
