Dr. Richard Leigh, MBChB, M.Sc., PhD, FCP (SA), FRCPC, is a Professor of Medicine and of Physiology and Pharmacology; Division Head, Division of Respiratory Medicine; and GlaxoSmithKline-CIHR Professor of Inflammatory Lung Disease at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Leigh’s clinical and research interest areas include understanding the basic mechanisms underlying airway remodelling in asthma, the assessment of airway inflammation, and clinical trials in asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Within AllerGen, Dr. Leigh is involved in the Clinical Investigator Collaborative (CIC) clinical trials group, contributing his expertise to the evaluation of new drug compounds for the treatment of allergic asthma.
