Philippe Bégin

Dr. Philippe Bégin, MD, PhD, is an allergist at the Centre Hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine in Montreal, QC, and an Adjunct clinical professor at the University of Montreal. Dr. Bégin was AllerGen’s second Emerging Clinician Scientist Research Fellow. During his Fellowship, he worked with Dr. Kari Nadeau at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University.

Dr. Bégin is a Canadian expert in oral immunotherapy (OIT) for the treatment of severe food allergies. He leads an oral immunotherapy clinic established at Sainte-Justine Hospital in 2017. The clinic aims to treat 750 food-allergic children over the three-year pilot period and to establish provincial clinical standards and treatment costs for OIT.

In 2017, Dr. Bégin received the Early Career Award from the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (CSACI) for showing dedication to his specialty.
