Dr. Moshe Ben-Shoshan MD, M.Sc. is an Associate Professor in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at McGill University and a Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Specialist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. He received a special distinction award for his service as the head of air-force medical team, Special Research Fellowship Award, and Allergists for Israel.
Dr. Ben-Shoshan’s research focuses on food allergy, anaphylaxis, chronic urticaria, and primary immunodeficiency. His current project analyzes Genetic and environmental causes of food allergy, and the role of genetics in hypersensitivity reactions to antibiotics. He also conducted the first nationwide Canadian study to determine the prevalence of severe food allergies at the Montreal General Hospital. Dr. Ben-Shoshan was the 2017 recipient of the CSACI’s F. Estelle R. Simons Award for Research.
